This is a low-prep, reading response/character study to The Man In The Red Bandana book. Simply cut on the blue line and staple! Students will be able to draw what the character looks like, react to what the character says, and tell what the character does in the story. Students will reflect and write how they can show courage. The last page is for each student to write their name to pledge to always remember the Man in the Red Bandana and other fallen heroes of 9-11.

I developed this take-it-to-your-seat behavior tool specifically for post-Covid-19 classrooms. This system will allow you to personalize it to your classroom theme or color. It also allows you to insert your own classroom behavior system, rules, goals, and clip art. After creating your behavior tool, I recommend laminating it for durability. I also used Velcro sticky dots on the behavior side so that students can easily move their color. You could also use clothespins for students to move up
