Math Action Posters and Worksheets
In my classroom, we discuss four "math actions" shown in addition (put together) and subtraction (take away, compare, missing part) problems. Included are four posters showing and four math actions and three double-sided worksheets. The worksheets allow students to practice Put Together / Take Away, Compare / Missing Part, and writing and solving their own word problems.

Experience
After teaching preschool for five years, I made the switch to elementary school. I have experience with first, second, and fourth grades... But have spent the last five years as a dedicated second grade teacher!
Teaching style
Whenever possible, I like to keep my classroom student-centered. The more students follow their own interests (with teacher guidance, of course) the more they learn!
My own education history
After graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Child and Adolescent Development and a minor in Special Education, I obtained my teaching credential in California. I also recently finished my Master's Degree in Elementary Education.
