I have been teaching since 2005. I began in kindergarten which I taught for 7 years. While I enjoyed the little ones, I made the decision to move to 2nd grade this past year. It was the best decision I have made, as I feel I have found my niche.

Experience

I have been teaching since 2005. I began in kindergarten which I taught for 7 years. While I enjoyed the little ones, I made the decision to move to 2nd grade this past year. It was the best decision I have made, as I feel I have found my niche.

Teaching style

I would describe my teaching style as efficient and explicit. I strive to create an environment of respect and kindness while stressing very high academic expectations. I love incorporating technology in all aspects of my classroom learning.

Awards & shining teacher moments

During my teaching career, I have served on several committees including the math leadership team, technology committee, reading leadership team, and school improvement committee. I have led training sessions for teachers at my school on various technology related topics.
