I'm Second Language Gem! I'm an ESL teacher with over 15 years of classroom experience in teaching K - 12 ESL, Spanish and Science in K-12 schools, including ESL Science 7th - 12th grades.
I'm passionate about creating effective supplementary resources that help new Multilingual Learners and World Languages Learners build their vocabulary, communicate with teachers and parents, comprehend their content classes material, get immersed in lessons, learning to read and write in English and have fun staying engaged in their classes!

Do your students need more practice reading, writing, and comprehending statements using 'We are'? If your students are Spanish speakers, they do need further practice because 'we are' has several translations in Spanish. The pronoun 'we' can be nosotros OR nosotras. Substitute Teacher Day - Independent Work- for ELL or Spanish WL Year 1.
This is a good activity for ELL newcomers who speak Spanish and for World Languages students (Spanish level 1). English and Spanish Matching. Students can work individually or in pairs to match the columns. Students check their answers with teacher as a whole group when the columns are completed. Teacher elicits answers from the students.
