My goal is to make math easy to learn by making it engaging and fun with foldables, activities and games. In addition, I tend to make notes and practice sheets that are very focused on the specific skill or skills (sometimes pre-requisite) that need to be developed so that the student can be successful. My resources reflect this.
In addition, the students that I teach are on-level or below and usually struggle with math and/or don't like it. My approach is to start with where they are and what they know and bring them up from there.
My resources reflect this and do not contain too many tricky numbers or super high-level questions because I want to keep them engaged and feeling successful. Finally, I try to vary the approach and not do the same thing from day to day (notes, game, activity, foldable, etc.). Therefore, my store contains a variety of resources for each unit.
