About the store
We began working together in 2021 in a middle school center program supporting students with moderate to severe special needs. Through this work, we have collaborated closely to develop meaningful instruction and resources that meet the diverse needs of our students.
We have received training in Orton Gillingham and Comprehensive Literacy for All, which guide our approach to literacy instruction. In our classrooms, we place a strong emphasis on functional life skills and creating age-appropriate materials for secondary students. We believe students should learn at their level while still using materials that respect their age and interests. This philosophy continues to shape the resources we create and share with other educators.

Teaching style
We’re big believers that students should always be treated their age, no matter their academic level. That means using age-appropriate materials for secondary students that respect who they are while supporting the skills they’re still building.
In our teaching, we love incorporating functional skills and real-life applications whenever possible. Our goal is to help students build meaningful skills that extend beyond the classroom. At the end of the day, we want to help students become as independent as possible while realistically preparing them for life after school.
