Depending on the skill you are working on, you can either have the students draw the Base Ten blocks on the recording sheet OR have them write the Expanded Form of the number. I use this when teaching place value and numbers in base ten with my 2nd Graders. I let students choose a number out of a bag or roll a number with 2 dice or double dice. They write the number in the center, then fill out each section of the page accordingly. It can be used as an assessment, review, or small-group practice page.
