Short quizzes are a great way to do quick check for understandings to see what students have mastered and what you need to review before moving forward. This quiz assesses students knowledge of: -identifying the opposite of a number -identifying the absolute value of a number -adding & subtracting positive and negative integers -multiplying & dividing positive and negative integers (including long multiplication/division) -identifying the steps of PEMDAS I used to give a short quiz every Fri
I always gave a diagnostic at the beginning of the school year to help place students on the spectrum of math knowledge to help me group students or target intervention for students. I used this in my 7th grade classroom, but it could be used in middle school or even in an algebra class. This document can also be used as a homework, practice exam, final exam, extra credit practice, or however else you could imagine!
This graphic organizer allows students to describe all the sign rules for adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing positive and negative integers.
Help students with their 9s multiplication table with this worksheet. It includes general practice at the top and a number search below where students can find equations like "9*2=18" to help them associate the correct numbers together. Fun way to help students work on their memorization!
Short quizzes are a great way to do quick check for understandings to see what students have mastered and what you need to review before moving forward. This quiz assesses students knowledge of: -converting decimals to fractions -converting fractions to decimals (tenths and hundredths) -matching equivalent fraction, fraction circle, and decimal I used to give a short quiz every Friday for this purpose and found it extremely helpful for both myself and students to be in the routine of short asse

Short quizzes are a great way to do quick check for understandings to see what students have mastered and what you need to review before moving forward. This quiz assesses students knowledge of: -solving proportions via cross multiplication -identifying the abbreviations of units -identifying conversion factors of distance, volume, and weight (both imperial and metric units) -differentiating between units measuring distance, volume, weight, and temperature I used to give a short quiz every Frida
This 1 page quiz tests students knowledge on: -adding fractions -subtracting fractions -finding a percent of a total -finding a total given a percent and a part -finding the percent given the part and the total Also on the back page is a critical thinking logic puzzle for students to try if they finish early during the alloted time.
