Arabic Calligraphy: try it!
Learn a little bit about Arabic calligraphy and artists who work in this format. Students learn to write their own names in Arabic (3 script options) and share with each other. Look for patterns in the names and sounds and some will start to notice phonics that match certain script marks. April is Arab American Heritage Month, but this lesson is a fun activity to us any day!
