Test your students' knowledge and quick thinking with this review game based on the Dropout.tv game show Um, Actually, tailored specifically for high school physics! This engaging and interactive slideshow challenges players to correct deliberately flawed statements about 1D kinematics topics. Students will: ✅ Identify common misconceptions about displacement, velocity, acceleration, and motion equations. ✅ Compete individually or in teams to spot the errors and claim points. ✅ Review key conce
I created this assignment to use as an introductory lab when starting the motion unit of my 9th grade physical science class. It could also be a good way to review prior to a motion unit in a higher level physics class. It covers basic measurements of distance and time, and has students use those measurements to find speed using a line graph. It also reviews the concepts of accuracy and precision. There is a CER section at the end. It is a simple lab that can be performed anywhere there is room.
