20+ years of teaching multiple levels of Spanish (K-12) I have provided a variety of students a multitude of foreign language experience based on realia.
Students are asked to differentiate tiger vs. camel words (v/cv vs. vc/v)
Second part of the activity asks the students to code the vowels and consonants, divide the syllables with swoops under the word, and finally mark the vowel of the first syllable with either a macron or breve. Happy Teaching!!

Used alone or with Powerpoint presentation I also have, these 28 sentences include general differences and idiomatic expressions that make the student use por or para. This is a skill many students struggle with and this practice is great for individual efforts and to discuss the "why's" in whole class discussions.
List of words with consonant +le endings of -ble, -cle, -dle, and -fle. To be taught in a minilesson after open and closed syllables have been learned. Have students color and cut the sort words. Sort words based on the endings, and record in a notebook or on paper. On the next day have your students analyze the words for open, closed, and con+le syllable types.
Powerpoint presentation that describes the general differences in the usages of por and para with examples in the target language. Also includes more specific idiomatic expressions using both prepositions.
10 sentences with multiple errors in each. They include verb conjugation errors, incorrect articles, imperfect vs. preterite, possession errors, capitalization errors, and more. These are errors I saw day and day out as a upper level H.S. Spanish teacher. There is an answer page included!
A great and exciting team building activity that incorporates nature vocabulary in Spanish and images to guide your students through a scavenger hunt. Great for beginners (teachers and students)
Great for a group or mini-lesson for 2-4th graders; more of a review for the 3s and 4s, but a great starting point for suffixes. I use the student example section as an opportunity for students to go on a Suffix Scavenger Hunt in their current book(s) to find and fill in that section.

Great activity that requires headphones or speakers that uses native Spanish-speaking people. In this particular series the topic is recent jobs. Many of the vocabulary words selected are Span. I-III relevant.
A List of vocabulary terms and their respective definitions in Spanish. Great resource for a jumping off point for a Level III-IV class. Lots of reinforcement and assessing make this vocabulary useful and essential for many years later.
