About the store

I am currently a teacher in the Columbus area. I teach Spanish 1 to combined 7th and 8th grade classes and Spanish 2 to 8th graders. Expanding my teaching resources for both myself and my students is very important to me and my ability to grow as an educator to provide the best possible education I can.

If you are looking to make some cultural connections during the school unit this project is a good activity that relies on students doing the research and compounding facts and ideas into a presentation. It allows them to took in depth at a school in a particular country that they would not have known about previously. There is a rubric included after the project requirement sheet.

This is a three page packet that reviews question words with formation, yes/no questions and asking questions with other subjects. Then there is a section to practice answering questions. This is a great resource for Spanish 1 students starting off with basic AR/ER/IR verbs along with ser, tener and vivir.

Experience

Teaching style

My style is a mix of anything and everything. As a foreign language class I am focusing on reading, writing, listening and speaking at all times in the classroom. Integrating any kind of cultural connections between them and students their own age that are Hispanic has been a new focus for me and I am trying to bring more attention to culture. We do group work, individual work, speaking activities, games, puzzles, partner work and as many activities that spark creativity as I can (comics, short stories...)
