If students are going to learn a language, they've got to interact; they've got to communicate. This has been my philosophy since day 1 of teaching Spanish. Therefore, my teaching methods are communicative and proficiency based, following standards and guidelines from ACTFL. My classes are lively (as they should be since they're full of humans:), full of interviews, conversations, reading aloud, listening to texts, watching, analyzing, discussions, GAMES, giving feedback, writing, revising- anything to get them using, touching, and giving meaning to students' language learning.
