Students will work on sight words and blending while reading about Ground Hogs. Students will also interpret the reading and draw a picture related to the reading.

Students will be able to interact with the text. Students will cut the flaps and glue in their interactive notebook. Students will identify who the characters and the settings are as well as the problem and the solution. Students may either draw or write.

Reading strategies related to the book How to Catch a Leprechaun by Adam Wallace. Students will make predictions, describe, make connections, and think beyond the text. Students will engage in writing and drawing representations related to the story.

Students will be introduced to vocabulary related to St. Patrick's Day. Students will highlight vocabulary words and read the passage three times. After reading, students will illustrate a picture related to the passage.

This activity is a great introduction to letters and letter sounds or can be used for review and interventions. Use these cards as a resource for your student. Helps students with number bonds, decomposing numbers, and addition. Laminate and have students write on the card or have cards to help students with vocabulary.

Students will add the ones together then write the corresponding numbers into the two boxes. Students will then circle the tens and draw an arrow to move it over to the tens place. The students will write the remaining ones in the ones place and add the tens accordingly.
