This assignment has them searching words and finding different ways to say each things. It shows the students that they need to figure out which tense/sense/meaning of the word they are trying to use and then look through to find that meaning and use it accurately. This quiz gives very basic Spanish sentences with the verb missing. The students must write in the appropriate form of Ser or Estar and provide a reason as to why they chose one over the other. 15 sentences with blanks and space for 15 reasons.
All of the main uses of Ser and Estar are present amongst the answers!
This activity includes 15 facts using the Passive Voice in Spanish. The first column is the first part of the sentence (La bombilla fue inventada) and the second column contains the second part of the sentence (por Edison en 1882)
Teacher will cut out the facts and students will put the facts together, trying to match and figure out the correct facts.
All of them use different tenses of the passive voice.
This is a 4-part quiz, testing the numbers from 0-100. Part A is a listening section with telephone numbers. Part B is a matching section. Part C is a section where the students have to write a number that fits the parameters (ex- more than 10 but less than 20) and part D the students have to write out each of the numbers 10-100 (increments of 10)

This is a PowerPoint presentation that goes over the verbs for expressing one's age (the differences between English and Spanish) and then outlines the conjugation of the verb tener, and finally, the numbers 1-20. Part C is 5 written out sentences that they will have to write times for (Son las once en punto)
Part D is a speaking. I call the students up and give them 2 time expressions to say. This can easily be taken out but I like my students to practice speaking on each assessment I give them.
These sentences are for the students to translate. It gives them practice with the common irregular verbs in the present tense. The sentences focus on the "yo form" since that is where most of the stem changes take place. As a follow-up assignment, I have the students put the sentences in other forms too.
