I recently retired from teaching after 35 years. I have taught first, second, third, fifth, ESL(before certification was required), and basic skills. I have training with Wonders Reading and Think Central(Go Math) through school. The grade with which I have the most experience is second.

This resource can be used on any grade level to explain expository text. You can delete the last few slides to skip the Wonders addition to it. It aligns with the Reading Wonders McGraw-Hill Curriculum for Unit 6 Week 2 for second grade. It can be used in Google Classroom. You can load this on to Google Classroom as an assignment. Make a copy for yourself. Then, you can make a copy for each student. Then, they can write on their own copy and turn it in when they are done.

I hold a degree in Psychology and certification in Elementary Education from Wilkes University.
Additional biographical information
I am a third generation teacher. My grandmother, Helen Ritter, born in 1910, attended Bloomsburg State Teacher's College and College Misericordia and was a Kindergarten teacher. My mother, Marilyn Rozelle, graduated from Bloomsburg State Teacher's College and was an elementary teacher. My father, Dr. Ralph B. Rozelle, was a graduate of Wilkes College, Penn State, and Alfred University and was a professor at Wilkes College. It's in my blood! :)
