This review resource offers valuable practice and problem solving with quadratic factoring when a = 1. Factoring is a necessary skill for future math courses such as simplifying rational equations in order to identify vertical asymptotes and holes or finding limits. There are five practice sets included along with a factoring puzzle and two color by number activities. Answer keys are included.

Practice problems are included along with two process related activities. A challenge problem requires students to complete the square for the general case. Answer keys are included for all problems and activities.

The collection includes a pattern/function exploration that provides an introduction to piece-wise defined functions and sequences.
