Hands-on activity where students search for geometric shapes in real life. Students must locate and measure shapes. From those measurements, students will calculate the surface area. Shapes include: squares, rectangles, parallelograms, trapezoids, triangles, composite figures, and rectangular prisms. Great for groups or even an at-home investigation.
