Experience

I am currently in my 23rd year of teaching. I have taught the following courses: AP Statistics College Statistics ELL Algebra 1 Bilingual Geometry Algebra 2/Trig PreCalculus Honors Computer Science Discoveries I also privately tutor many levels from 7th-grade math to PreCalculus Honors and College level Statistics.

Teaching style

I love student-centered lessons that offer a discovery approach. Class projects are a major part of all the classes I teach. I aim to keep my students engaged and having fun while learning. If they can leave my class with a positive perspective on Math - I consider it a WIN.

My own education history

Graduated SUNY Albany with a Major in Math and a Minor in Psychology. Went on to get my Master's degree and Teaching certification (Math 7 - 12) from Queens College. I have been teaching at the same high school my entire teaching career. It's my second home :)

Additional biographical information

I am the district Mentor Coordinator. The Mentor program at our school is a great program for new teachers to gain support and guidance from experienced teachers.
