About the store
I've been teaching primary school since 2009. I taught multi grade classes aged 4-8 in Ireland before teaching 5th class (age 11 apx.). I moved to Australia in 2011 and now teach early years in Perth and love my job! :-) I make resources that are relevant to my class and what I am teaching. I share them in the hope that they will be helpful to others too. My resources are simple, easy to use and most activities focus more on the skills being taught than looking cute!

Eight simple STEAM challenges using plastic cups, blocks, straws, string, paper and popsticks.

Word problem puzzles
Children must read the addition word problem, match it to the pictorial representation and the written sum. All correct piece fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. Laminate and cut then use as a maths center activity. I recommend drawing a different coloured line on the back of each set so children can check their work. (14 puzzles in total).

Writing Numbers 1-10
Write numbers 1-10 and draw that many of a specific fruit/vegetable. Each number has a rhyme to remind children of formation. Uses Victorian Modern Cursive font.

Children choose a number and write the numeral in the middle. They then draw that number of an object, write the word, show it on a ten frame and show it with stickers. Develops understanding of each number.

Simple addition and subtraction sums on a bingo grid (one set addition and one set subtraction). Helps develop mental maths and problem solving. Ideal for small group activities.

Three number addition activity
Print one copy of the number sentences, cut and laminate. Print as many copies of the master board as required and laminate. Each child must choose a number sentence and place it in the box at the top, represent this addition using blocks in three colours and write the number sentence including the answer.

Children are asked to draw/write something familiar that happens regularly on the same day (eg-I go to swimming lessons every Friday).

8 bingo cards with dots in random and dice order as well as numerals. Encourages children to subitise, count using 1:1 correspondece and recognise numerals.

Four piece number puzzles for numbers ten to twenty. Match the numeral, tally, ten frame and pictures to make each number puzzle. I recommend laminating and cutting them to use in maths centers. Also put a sticker on the back of each one to allow children to check their accuracy.

Cut and laminate then have children match the number name to the numeral (0-20). I also use counters and ask them to count that number. Laminate one chart without cutting to allow them to check their answers.

Cut out the parts of the rocket and put the days of the week in order to build it.

Pattern continuation strips
Cut and laminate one page of strips, cut and laminate another page of rectangles. Children use the rectangles to continue the patterns on the strips. Range of one step to five step patterns of varying complexity. Most are colour patterns. Also includes some that focus on just shape and some on just colour.

I've Got... Who Has multiplication game
Each student gets a card, first student says "I've got x, who has y?" Next Student says 'I've got y, who has z?" and so on until it returns to the first student. Cards use arrays, images, equations and numbers.

Children to use concrete materials to work out whether the answer is true or false in these subtraction problems. All numbers less than 20.
