About the store

I have taught pre-K through college for more than 20 years. I have loved the opportunities I have had teaching in small and large districts as well as in private schools. When I graduated with my doctorate in education I realized not only had I learned tremendous amounts and curriculum and instruction, but I was more aware than ever of how much support teachers and students both need to be successful

Experience

Teaching style

I want students to become independent, motivated, life long learners who believe learning is fun and exciting! I like for their to be enough structure to keep activities moving along and organized. The more positive a child's experience with learning can be the greater chance there is for them to become life long learners.

My own education history

I have an undergraduate degree in biology thinking I was headed to medical school to be a pediatrician. Then I decided I wanted to teach so I have a masters in the Art of Teaching as well as a Doctorate in Education, specializing in Curriculum and Instruction.

Additional biographical information

I love spending time with my family, reading, and traveling. I am always looking for ideas to make an activity that would be fun and motivating for Shining Knights.
