About the store
7 Years Strong! I began teaching fourth grade in a very urban setting. There I found my love of teaching Virginia Studies. I taught fourth for two years, and I was transferred due to low enrollment. That was the year I learned to be flexible as I was placed as a floating Kindergarten teacher. The next school year, I began teaching Kindergarten again but was soon moved to my very own first grade classroom. I then accepted a position teaching fifth grade in my little rural school that I love dearly. I enjoyed working with those growing tweens for two years before I was asked to fill a need in second grade. Boy, was I in for a treat! I am now preparing for my second year teaching second grade. I can't wait to create and share products for you all!

Parts of A Circle Quiz

Students will apply knowledge of parts of a circle by labeling this circle with radius, diameter, circumference, chord, and center. This is also great to practice those tricky TEI questions. Virginia Math SOL 5.9

Fraction/Decimal Conversion Sheet/Cheat Sheet

This is a resource/tool I made for my students to complete in class to use when memorizing fraction and decimal equivalencies. My students also drew their base 10 representations or shaded a fractional representation into the squares in the right column. My purpose was to aid in the memorization of the equivalent fractions and decimals. Students kept this sheet in a plastic page protector, inside the prongs of their math folder!

Teaching style

I enjoy putting on a great show for my students when introducing a concept. My students also know to pay close attention to the information presented because I use several methods of assessment daily. I love performance tasks to truly test the grit and endurance of each of my students.
