Students research a contemporary Native American artist who is from or resides in a geographic region of the North America that they have visited or have lived. Students will choose one artwork created by the artist and answer questions about the qualities of the work. Students will conclude by linking the art/artist to the Essential Knowledge points from AP Art History Unit 5: Indigenous Americas.

Students will create dialogues between the figures from AP Art History Unit 2: The Ancient Mediterranean using Key Vocabulary Terms for Ancient Etruscan, Greek, and Roman Art.

After reading about the 1896 landmark Plessy v. Ferguson case, students choose a creative writing option to process the information from the time period. Students will choose from several options to demonstrate their understanding of the case. Students will identify their RAFT (role, audience, format, topic) to determine the focus for their writing. Students will articulate how their writing connects to one of the Essential Knowledge points for AP African American Studies 3.14.

Students will choose and emulate an artwork in the style of contemporary artist, Cindy Sherman. Students will create a photographed and edited image and write an explanatory paragraph that describes how they emulated the original work.

Students will choose from 24 terms from AP Art History Units 5, 6, & 9 and write one in each box. Each term relates to an image in Units 5, 6, & 9 (38 images total). To play the standard bingo game, teachers will display/project an image from Unit 5, 6, or 9 that connects to one of the terms. Students will need to determine which image from the units matches the term and cross off the term on their bingo sheet.

Students will fill in a graphic organizer comparing the Spanish, French, and Russian revolutions. They will also study art of the time periods (Goya, Delacroix, Stepanova) and how the artists conveyed ideals of the revolutions.

Students will be assigned to research one of the civilizations from AP Art History Unit 2: The Ancient Mediterranean (Mesopotamian, Egyptian, Etruscan, Greek, or Roman). Students will fill in the head image with ideas, thoughts, visions, motivations etc. reflecting the person or group of interest that they are assigned. These items will be represented through visuals/pictures/small icons. Students will number the visuals and write a corresponding explanatory statement for each on the back of

Students will study the features of the Kore and Kouros artworks in AP Art History Unit 2: The Ancient Mediterranean. They will complete a graphic organizer comparing the artistic elements of each piece and make connections to other artworks in Unit 2.

Students will read chapter 31 of the 15th edition of Gardner's Art Through the Ages. The worksheet includes short answer, fill-in-the-blank, and FRQ-style questions to show their understanding of the text.

Students will research the style of Jean Michele Basquiat from Unit 10 Global Contemporary AP Art History. They will then create a self-portrait that emulates Basquiat's style. Students will write a well-developed paragraph that describes how their image connects to Basquiat's elements and principles of art design.

Students will define key vocabulary terms from Unit 1 of AP Art History (global prehistory) by drawing an example of the term in a graphic organizer.

This handout divides the chapters of Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls into chunks and gives students a calendar to plan out their reading deadlines. The second and third pages include a reading journal graphic organizer that can be printed several times as needed for the sections of novel.

This handout is an intro pre-reading activity for the book Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson. The handout covers important vocabulary and initial reading questions for the start of the book.

In Unit 2, topic 2.23 of the APAAS 24-25 framework, students read the poem "The Colored Soldiers" by Paul Laurence Dunbar. In this activity, the teacher posts portions of the poem around the room and students annotate it in small groups.

Topic 2.9 in the 24-25 framework for AP African American Studies requires students to identify the African traditions that have shaped American music. Students choose and research a music topic of their choice.

Students will study the vocabulary related the artworks of Unit 10 AP Art History.

This assignment gives students a chance to both practice and then final draft a response to the short essay FRQ for Visual Analysis on the AP Art History test. The assignment has been generalized so that it can be used with any art piece as needed.

Students will learn the definitions of key context vocabulary words in Colson Whitehead's The Underground Railroad: A Novel. The 40 words can be found throughout the scope of the novel. The product includes a definitions page, a matching activity, and a key.

Students will identify quotes from the text that illustrate the railroad metaphor in Colson Whitehead's The Underground Railroad: A Novel. Next to each quote, students will describe how Whitehead's magical realism is symbolic of a greater truth about slavery in American history. Then, students will write a paragraph summing up the theme of the novel, particularly in how it relates to the novel's title. This product contains a key showing the example quotes possible for students' responses.

As a review for the Unit 10 AP Art History artworks, students will group the pieces according to thematic categories and make connections between them.
