This project puts a new twist on the state and country reports that students have grown accustomed to. Now instead of students simply researching about a place, this project encourages them to 'travel' to their destination and turn it into a vacation! This project ties Math, Geography, and Writing together!
Students will choose their state or country to travel to and will be given a budget to work with as they plan their vacation. They will have to account for their flight, hotel, car rentals,
What more fun could a student ask for than to create their own amusement park? With this activity the students will be creating their own amusement park map of attractions and then mapping it out using a grid. Students will then complete a descriptive writing where they will have to describe all the aspects of their park and its uniqueness.
