Stoichiometry is sometimes the toughest unit for my students. Over the years, I've come up with ways to differentiate my lesson to help students grasp the concept. As much as I love one line dimensional analysis and stoichioimetry problems- a lot of my students have to see it split up a bit more. Here is a flow chart I use to do that.
Do you wish you could hand your students a page of steps to follow for working out stoichiometry problems? Well now you can! I give this handout to my students who need a little more guidance through working out problems.
Do your students have trouble with converting from grams to moles or moles to grams? I find that some of my students need something a bit more simplified. Included are the steps I give my students who struggle with multi step problems.
