Simple Assessment

This is an editable template that substitute or TTOC teachers can use to leave for teachers when they are subbing in a classroom. Or for principals to edit and use at their school. It gives useful feedback to the teacher about how the day went. On top I have the school rules that are applicable to our school. These can also be deleted if needed.

This is a simple rubric I use to assess conversations that the students when speaking in French. I have them read or write their own conversations. Then I use this to grade them. I also have them self assess their own skills.

I give this to my students a few times a year when they can self-assess their social responsibility skills. I normally use it to promote discussion. I also have them do this before they do report cards and I send it home with them. You can also use a different colour pen and mark them as well if you want. I only mark it, if I disagree with them in some area.

This is both a planning document for students and rubric to assess students leading a Physical Education class. As part of leadership, safety and fair play I have my students plan a Physical Education class and I make them lead and have them teach the other students. I make them include a health tip. They also have to pick a muscle in the human body and they have to give three stretches or exercises to strengthen and stretch that muscle.

This is a rubric you can use to assess letter writing. I often have the students write a letter, assess themselves, improve it. I also give them examples to practice grading. They always self assess when completing the final assessment.

This is a rubric you can use to assess for writing a newspaper article. I recommend using a graphic organizer to help you. Rubric that I normally have the students self assess with, I also use to grade. As practice I will often have them grade exemplars.
