About the store
大家你好!Hello there! I'm Shaun-Marie, an educator of the English and Mandarin Chinese Language. I spent 9 years in China, engaging in studies of the Chinese language and culture. During my time there, I tutored English to native Chinese and South Koreans, and also tutored Chinese to a few English speaking friends. I later moved on to full-time teaching, first teaching young ESL learners in China and now teaching both teens and adults. I'm a full-time high school English A and Mandarin Chinese teacher, while privately I teach Mandarin Chinese to adults as a second language. I'm a simple educator, who simply enjoy the learning success of others. Thus, my desire is to make learning as easy, simple and relatable as possible for my students.

Teaching style

Thanks to my various learning and teaching experiences combined, I have developed a flexibility when it comes to teaching style. My goal is always the success of my students, therefore I implement different teaching methods, such as project-based learning, flipped classroom learning and teacher-centered, whatever is needed. Additionally, every individual learns differently, so I also make frequent use of visuals, audios, practicals, games, etc to aid the learning process.
