This is a fun, simple, interactive Skittles activity to teach or reinforce conceptual understanding of fractions. It is comprehensive in this aspect in that it covers basic fractions as parts of a whole, equivalency, comparing fractions (greater than, less than, equal to) and adding and subtracting fractions with like denominators (and UNLIKE denominators as a special challenge at the end for students who could benefit from it). This would be MOST beneficial for third and fourth grades, however,

Hi! My name is Jess Boyle. I like to create simple, no-frills activities for upper elementary level learners. My content is free or very cheap, and is simply created by myself and using my own ideas. My goal is to share very straightforward, low/no prep, yet comprehensive resources that target different learners and allow for differentiation. I choose to provide all content for $1.00 or less to allow other teachers access to my resources. I consider my products to be straightforward to make, but purchasing them saves you time and effort.
