10 station rotation on the modern uses of nuclear chemistry. Each station contains information on a specific use and includes bolded and highlighted sections to help increase student comprehension. The student handout is linked on the second slide. Suggested structure: 4 minutes per station, 3 of which should be spent on reading the slide and completing its corresponding section of the student handout, 1 minute to rotate between stations.
10-question practice activity with answer KEY focusing on the Combined Gas Law and Ideal Gas Law. Practice includes assorted questions using pressure (mmHg, kPa, and atm) and temperature (K and Celsius) units.
Introductory hands-on activity that is designed to help students learn to collect data, create a graph, and analyze it. Students will measure their heart rate at rest, perform jumping jacks, and then measure their heart rate at various time intervals. Students will then graph the data they collect it and answer guiding questions to help them analyze their data.
Multi-step full practice.
1. Identify ionic and covalent bonds.
2. Depending on identification, either draw ions or neutral LDS.
3. create lewis dot structures or electron dot diagrams for given compounds.
4. Identify molecular geometry or oxidation number.
5. Identify polarity or calculate polarity based on electronegativity values.
Student guided notes handout. Investigates the positive and negative effects of humans on each of the four main spheres (atmosphere, geosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere), includes discussion questions.
Test student mastery of the gas laws through these short real-life scenarios. Instruct students to identify the gas law that best applies to the scenario.
Student rotation with a total of 4 stations. Students rotate between stations every 10 minutes.
