This has been the easiest way for me to keep up with being sure all students receive the work they had missed when absent. Under the sign I have a file folder labeled for each class period. In the folder I place the work with the student's name on it after I have handed the work out to the class.

In this activity students will separate pictures of conductors and insulators into a T-chart. Great for discussion in small groups, homework, review, or assessing student understanding.
Journaling for kids that includes activities on what the student is good at, what they could improve on, thinking about who can help them to be come better, being thankful and grateful, right brained/left brained, what makes them happy, how to be positive, friendship, setting goals, considering the people who are important in their life, listening to others, and teamwork. My school had morning time in homeroom where we do these types of activities periodically.
