It helps the reader to clarify what he or she is reading and to better understand the text. It helps them to challenge the text. Ultimately, asking good questions is a way for students to monitor their own comprehension while reading.

Using the RADD writing strategy we will be analyzing the story of a shepherd boy who repeatedly tricks nearby villagers into believing that a wolf is attacking his flock. When a wolf actually appears, the villagers do not believe the boy's cries for help, and the flock is destroyed.

It is designed to introduce RADD to our students. In addition, it includes some details to help students with their writing.
