I have been in Elementary education for 20 years. I have taught grades 2 to 5 in the general education classroom. I have taught ESOL students, gifted students, and currently I am teaching Special Education ELA and Math.
This is an easy to implement Escape Room on perseverance. The escape room uses a 5-paragraph essay on perseverance written at a 4th grade level. The tasks require the student to return to the essay utilizing the close reading strategy. There are 4 tasks: Vocabulary Matching, True or False Statements, Multiple Choice Questions, and Find the Statement. An answer key is included and the task should take 30 to 60 minutes.
