2nd Grade Bridges Work Place Labels

If you use the Bridges Math curriculum, you might feel overwhelmed with all the components, especially the Work Places. This simple product can help you and your students keep your workplaces organized! In my classroom, I used two Sterilite 3-drawer containers to store my 6 active workplaces in. Conferring Notes Templates for Reading and Writing

Teaching for 10 years and keeping track of my one-on-one time with students was something I tried…and tried…and tried again to get right. I finally created these templates and my conferring notes organization has been transformed in the very best way! For me, keeping the template for notetaking as simple as possible was key. I’ve found the greatest success with staying organized is to have individual student folders or thin binders with the conferring sheets inside. Saving artifacts and work sa

Morning Tub Soft Start Labels

I am a big believer of soft start mornings for students. Allowing your class to start their morning “waking their brain up” with conversation and play is the best way to kick start all of the learning that follows. In my classroom, I run copies of these on cardstock and laminate. Whether you have 10 different soft start bins for students to choose from or each child has their own individual bin, you can use these numbered labels to help keep organized. The number system also keeps things simple

Parent-Teacher Conference Form Template

Prepping for conferences can be a daunting task. I created this simple form to streamline the entire process. I simply determine the categories I want to touch base on (reading, math, writing, etc) and then print a class set. I’m then able to jot down notes about each childs’ strengths (glows) and goals (grows) for each subject. I find this template allows caregivers a simplistic and user-friendly snapshot of their child’s progress at school as well. Run a second set for conference time so that

About the store

Experience

It's hard to believe, but I've taught over 200 students in my 10 years in the classroom. I've spent most of my teaching career in 3rd grade teaching general education. I've also had a chance to teach 5th grade for 2 years. I'm passionate about literacy and math and have ample opportunities to be trained in various curriculums.

Teaching style

My teaching style is all about family, first and foremost. We create a strong classroom community that fosters growth and development. When children feel loved and valued, the doors open for them to reach their full potential. I named my store in honor of my teaching style. All too often, I walk into classrooms or receive paperwork from schools that is overwhelmingly overstimulating with loud fonts and graphics. In contrast, I have a hard time counting how many colleagues of mine have complimented me on my classroom over the years- a truly calming, organized and relaxing space for children. I take that same minimalistic approach when creating materials for students. Simply made, it allows students to not be distracted from all the noise and focus in completely on the task at hand. Similarly, parents and caregivers receive materials that are also simply in nature to help them navigate what can sometimes be confusing educational information.

Additional biographical information

My purpose in opening a Teachers Pay Teachers storefront was to help other educators. If there is a product that you don't see in my storefront, but wish there was, please don't hesitate to e-mail me. I love to create! After all, my products are simply made by me, for you.
