With over a decade of experience teaching 2nd and 3rd grade in North Carolina and California—and now based in Florida—I’ve worked in inclusion classrooms, led data teams, coached Science Olympiad, and served as a Leader in Me chair. I’ve supported neurodivergent students, collaborated with specialists, and built trust with families through consistent communication. Some highlights: ✨ STEM Teacher of the Year (6x), including district-level recognition ✨ Transformed the lowest-performing 3rd grade math class into one of the top-performing ✨ Taught my son’s kindergarten class (yep, it was as wild and heartwarming as it sounds) ✨ Coached the only K–2 Science Olympiad team in the state—we even won against 3–5th graders! My teaching style is all about balancing joy and purpose. I hold a B.A. in Elementary Education (K–6) from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where I also earned my ESL (K–12) certification. My training includes instructional coaching, inclusive practices, data-driven instruction, and creating collaborative learning environments that work.
