About the store
With over a decade of experience teaching 2nd and 3rd grade in North Carolina and California—and now based in Florida—I’ve worked in inclusion classrooms, led data teams, coached Science Olympiad, and served as a Leader in Me chair. I’ve supported neurodivergent students, collaborated with specialists, and built trust with families through consistent communication. Some highlights: ✨ STEM Teacher of the Year (6x), including district-level recognition ✨ Transformed the lowest-performing 3rd grade math class into one of the top-performing ✨ Taught my son’s kindergarten class (yep, it was as wild and heartwarming as it sounds) ✨ Coached the only K–2 Science Olympiad team in the state—we even won against 3–5th graders! Every resource I make is built from real-life classroom wins—and mistakes. That means what you see here is not only tested, but teacher-approved by someone who knows the pressure you're under and the potential your students have.

Teaching style

My teaching style is all about balancing joy and purpose. Think: games that hit standards, centers that run themselves (without internet), and systems that help even your wiggliest learners stay focused. 🧠 Math? We solve, play, and reflect. 📚 Reading? We turn comprehension into classroom mysteries. 🌱 Science? We dissect owl pellets, track steps, and chase bullfrogs. (Seriously.) I believe all students can grow with the right tools, time, and trust. Whether your learners need support, a challenge, or just a fresh way in, my resources are designed to meet them where they are and help them move forward with confidence.

Additional biographical information

Why Does Simply STEAM Exist? I help 1st–3rd grade teachers reach all learners—not just some—using hands-on math and science games that blend seamlessly with the arts. My resources feel like play, not punishment—so students build confidence, curiosity, and real skills without the stress. Everything I create follows a simple but powerful formula: Differentiated cards for emerging, progressing, and on-grade-level learners ✅ Optional higher-order thinking tasks to stretch advanced students 🧠 Self-checking formats and answer keys to promote independence and make your life easier 🕵️‍♀️ Reflection sheets to build a growth mindset and deepen learning 💭 I design every resource with intention—so you can teach with clarity, meet diverse needs, and make your classroom (finally) run smoothly.
