Experience

Loralie has taught singing for nearly 30 years. She is an active singer and teacher in Ontario, Canada. Loralie is a voice faculty member of the Royal Conservatory of Music in addition to teaching in her own private studio. She is also a member of the Royal College of Voice examiners. During her career thus far, Loralie has taught early childhood music through to university level courses.

Teaching style

Loralie believes in learning that is centered on curiosity and a sense of play. In her private teaching experience she has seen all to often teen and adult students who quit because a music teacher made them feel ashamed. Rather, Loralie encourages mistakes, curiosity and agency in her students' own education with fulfilling results.

My own education history

Loralie has a Master of Music degree from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Manitoba. This is in addition to ongoing pedagogical study of singing throughout her adult life.
