A game of spoons! Exciting game for students to play as an introductory, re-evaluation, or down time after testing. About the store

Experience

I am in my seventh year of teaching and I have taught 6th-8th grade math in the past and now I solely teach 6th grade math. My licensure is 5th-8th grade and I hold a masters in middle school math education.

Teaching style

I love teaching my students through real-life activities, hands-on, and games. I am a visual learner; therefore, my teaching methods are geared toward visual and concrete learning. I do not use a textbook and we use interactive journals in my classroom.

Additional biographical information

I have known my husband for thirteen years and we have been married for almost seven. We have two beautiful, healthy little girls, Harper Elizabeth (4 years) and Hadley Turner ( 2 years). My husband is an engineer so I like to bounce some teaching ideas off of him that can relate to his job.
