Experience

I'm Ani from Skilled Offspring, and I help teachers and parents raise financially smart, confident kids with fun and hands-on lessons. My programs are built from real-world testing with kids aged 7 to 12, and everything I create is easy to use, low-prep, and full of purpose. I believe financial literacy and critical thinking start young - and I'm here to make learning it joyful.

Teaching style

My teaching Style is playful, story-based, and real-world focused. I use characters, decision-making games, and hands-on activities to keep kids engaged. Whether it's an escape room, a budgeting challenge, or a classroom reflection, I always aim to make kids think, laugh, and connect what they learn to their own lives. Simplicity and emotional connection are key.

Awards & shining teacher moments

One of my favorite moments was testing my lessons at a local library and watching kids light up with excitement using fake money, spinning the wheel, and solving challenges. They laughed, made decisions, and really thought about what matters. A parent told me her daughter later said, " No, this is instant gratification. I'll wait and keep my money for something I really need." That's the kind of learning that sticks - and it's why I keep creating.

My own education history

My background in in electrical Engineering, but my true passion is education. I've worked as a high school math tutor, an online English teacher, and created animated lessons for elementary students. I also designed interactive kid's activities for the historical Park Pointe-du-Moulin. All of these experiences led me to create Skilled Offspring - a project dedicated to helping kids build life skills through fun, meaningful learning.

Additional biographical information

I am currently building 2 Financial Literacy programs: Wants vs Needs (for younger learners) and Mini Money Managers (for older elementary kids). These programs use storytelling, games, and real-life scenarios to help children become confident, independent thinkers.
