Probabilities of Normal Distribution, Z Scores Activity Project

Created by
Slide N Divide
Students shade the area under the normal distribution curve and determine the probabilities for the given z-scores in this color by number activity. Their answers will determine what color they will need to use to color the provided image. This self-checking activity allows students to work independently to practice their understanding of using The Standard Table to determine probabilities of normal distributions. The color by number activity can be assigned in a variety of ways. 1. Assign

Included is a project on all statistical measures. This assignment is a great review to include at the conclusion of a descriptive statistics unit. A given set of data will be provided to students. Students will need to complete a histogram, dot plot, stem and leaf plot, box and whisker plot, and then they will describe their data using SOCS (shape, outlier, center, spread). Each of these tasks will need to be completed in the hexagon provided. Students can then decorate their hexagons
