About the store

Experience

I have been working as a school-based Speech Language Pathologist in a K-5 elementary school since 2008. I work primarily with students across the Autism spectrum. Other students on my caseload include students from the Multiple Disabilities program, resource rooms, and general education students with articulation and fluency disorders.

Teaching style

I love watching children's language skills develop and grow. I especially have a passion for working on vocabulary skills. My primary objective as a Speech Therapist is to have my students leave my room feeling confident in themselves and their growing abilities. It is important for me to create a safe space and engaging learning environment where my students feel comfortable taking risks to reach their fullest potential.

My own education history

I received my master's degree in Communication Disorders from William Paterson University in 2008. Christina DeSarno, M.S. CCC-SLP
