Using various pictures of cute snowmen, students can work on building simple sentences to describe the what the snowman is doing. Over time, the lesson can be expanded to allow students the opportunity to make their sentences more detailed using a variety of strategies. Pictures are included in a google presentation, for easy use for remote and in-person learning.
Images of different jack-o-lanterns that can be used to write descriptive sentences or paragraphs. Each jack-o-lantern is unique to provide for a "guessing game" opportunity. Great for individual or group work!
Google slides to help guide comprehension for younger students. PART ONE: Characters, setting, problem, solution and feelings. PART TWO: Story retell (story starter, events, conclusion) Each slide contains a visual support and a text box to record information.
A google slide presentation using real-life photos. Students will use facial expressions, body language and context clues to infer how the person is feeling and why they may be feeling that way. They will then use this information to make a prediction about what will happen next.
Use this visual during morning meeting to help students organize and share about their weekend or fun activity they did! Can also be used for classmates to ask follow-up questions.
