About the store
Hi, I'm Ciara — a graphic designer with over 10 years of experience and a former K–8 art teacher. During my time in the classroom (both in person and online during COVID), I developed a deep appreciation for how beautiful, functional design can support student engagement and save teachers time. I combine my background in visual design with real-world teaching experience to create modern, editable resources that are as practical as they are stylish. My goal is to help fellow educators bring calm, clarity, and creativity into their classrooms — without the stress.

Experience

Hi, I'm Ciara — a graphic designer with over 10 years of experience and a former K–8 art teacher. During my time in the classroom (both in person and online during COVID), I developed a deep appreciation for how beautiful, functional design can support student engagement and save teachers time. I combine my background in visual design with real-world teaching experience to create modern, editable resources that are as practical as they are stylish. My goal is to help fellow educators bring calm, clarity, and creativity into their classrooms — without the stress.

Teaching style

I believe in creating a calm, welcoming classroom where students feel seen, safe, and inspired to express themselves. My teaching style blends structure with creativity, using visual tools and thoughtful routines to support all learners — especially during unpredictable times like distance learning. Whether in person or online, I’ve always focused on building connection through design, creativity, and consistency.

Awards & shining teacher moments

One of my proudest teaching moments came in 2021, when my students earned 1st and 2nd place at our school district’s Spring Art Show. After a year of virtual and hybrid learning, it was incredibly rewarding to see their creativity, resilience, and hard work celebrated on a public stage.

My own education history

I earned my BFA in Communication Design from Texas State University, which led me into a career in advertising, higher education, and eventually freelancing. One of the most meaningful chapters of my journey was returning to teach in the same school district I grew up in — a full-circle moment that reminded me how impactful great educators can be. Along the way, I’ve worn many creative hats and learned so much from both the design world and the classroom.

Additional biographical information

I'm now a proud stay-at-home mom to a curious little girl and a sweet baby boy. Life with a toddler and a newborn keeps me on my toes — and continually fuels my creativity in new ways. Designing educational resources from home allows me to stay connected to both my passions: motherhood and meaningful, well-crafted classroom design.
