This document is an extract from Bronte's Jane Eyre and gives students a short passage for close analysis- focusing on their understanding of the text, inference skills and the ability to delve into language for understanding and meaning. Incorporate these blank/create your own BINGO cards with the addition and subtraction Bingo PowerPoints from my store. Using blank BINGO cards can assist with knowledge of numbers and can be a fun exercise to give students ownership. They could be laminated and kept for further math games. You just need to tell them the number range for each number B 1-15, I 16-30 , N 31 -45, G 46 - 60 and 0 61-75. There is a blank set and blue set. Have fun!
The aim of this task is to develop students awareness of the 'ch' sound as well as their vocabulary. This is an effective group work task that allows students to maneuver the cards to see if they can make words with the 'ch' at the beginning, middle and end. Some of the cards will not make a word successfully with the 'ch' sound, but it will make your students think. Cards just need to be printed, cut and distributed among groups. I laminated mine for the long haul. Enjoy!
