Wendy began her tutoring journey at Dyslexia Reading Solutions for Children in Moline, Illinois when her son was diagnosed with dyslexia. With 20 years of homeschooling experience, her passion stems from observing first-hand the struggles her sons endured on a daily basis with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia along with a range of other learning difficulties. She received her Orton-Gillingham certification through Dyslexia Training Institute. She also has experience with multisensory teaching using Handwriting Without Tears and Math-U-See. She strives to incorporate the Orton-Gillingham approach with fidelity ensuring a range of multisensory techniques using a systematic, structured, sequential, cumulative, cognitive, and flexible approach to mastery of each concept taught.
