This PPT will walk teachers and students through making a set of classroom expectations. Co-creating classroom expectations allows students to take ownership in appropriate classroom behaviors. This PPT is great to use throughout the school year, not only to set up classroom expectations, but to also re-visit them as the year goes on.

The S.M.A.R.T method guides students to annotate and breakdown a math word problem before they begin to solve it.

This self assessment rubric is geared towards Math, but can be adjusted and used in any content area. The rubric is great for students to use after a project or multi-day activity. Self assessment and reflection allow students to develop meta-cognitive skills, increase self awareness, and help them take control of their learning. It can also provide feedback for teachers on how well a student understands a math concept.

Close reading document to support students access to complex text. Close reading requires multiple readings of the same text, with a different purpose each time. This document encourages collaboration during readings. Part II could also be changed to text-dependent questions.
