About the store

I have a Master's Degree in Environmental Sciences and a PhD in Education from German universities. I taught different classes right after university and started writing and developed materials for German school text book publishers. After I immigrated to Canada, I have started working as a substitute teacher at elementary level and also teaching various classes and workshops at different community centres (baking and cooking classes, Sherlock Holmes class for kids, etc.).

Teaching style

I try to develop classes for my students that are hands-on, engaging and fun. Sometimes, I surprise my students by approaching topics differently than they're used to - probably because of my German background/ education. Interaction with my students is important to me. I like to open their minds to different ideas, encourage creativity and foster a love for learning. But above all, I like to have fun with them!
