Ice Breaker: Survive a Zombie Apocalypse! (Google Drive File)
I have always struggled with icebreakers. I want to give my students something they have not done before, I want it to be something they enjoy, and I want them to feel comfortable getting to know one another without feeling like they have to share more than they are comfortable with about themselves. After searching endlessly at the beginning of one school year, I came up with this activity that my students loved! Students will have to think creatively to pack a Zombie Apocalypse Go Pack with 6

Experience
I have been teaching since 2011. I spent my first eight years in education teaching at a Title 1 high school and now teach middle school visuals arts at an arts magnet school in South West Florida.
Teaching style
I have developed a program that focuses on, what I believe are, the four benchmarks of art education: ideation, skills and techniques, self-regulation and reflection. My students continuously grow in these four areas through a choice-based curriculum.
My own education history
I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Masters in Art Education from the Art of Education University.
