I wanted to practice calculator skills with my moderate-severe students, so I make a few worksheets - I have simple food pictures, a price, and the second sheet is 4 simple grocery lists - they have to find the item and price on the first page, transfer it to the second page, and add prices. I have two versions - the regular and the EZ. The regular has decimals/odd numbers, and the EZ has only whole numbers, no decimals.

This is the easy version of my original Grocery Ad Worksheet. This one only has whole numbers, no decimals, for your beginning or lower level students. For even lower students, just print two identical ads and let them cut one and match it (paste) to the first ad.

This worksheet is a two pager that has students cut out pictures and glue them onto a template and labels the nouns and verbs. You will most likely have to do this with them, as they probably don't know what nouns and verbs are.

This is a cut and paste activity where students determine who are friends and who are not friends in Chapter 5 of Holes. This is the easy version - the shapes match. For example, all the "friends" are in a circle, whereas all the "not friends" are in a square. If you want the medium version where they are all the same, I have that posted as well.

This is a really easy microwave recipe to go along with the story Holes, where Kate makes spiced peaches. The recipe has the printed version on the first page and the picture recipe on the second page. You could even make a short comprehension worksheet based on the recipe - ex.
