I have been in education for more than 20 years. I have taught third grade ELA and Social Studies, fourth grade math, science, and ELA, combined multi-age grades 3-4-5 writing, preschool, and grades K-5 technology.
In addition to being a classroom teacher, I have professionally written curriculum for a variety of ages and subjects, ranging from preschool to adult education.

Oral fluency passages for third grade. This resource contains 35 weekly fluency passages that connect ELA high frequency words to third grade Texas Social Studies TEKS. The high frequency words coincide with the weekly high frequency words in HMH Into Reading. The resource downloads as a .pdf in an easy to print 8.5" x 11" format. For each week, you will receive a student copy, a teacher copy (which contains the word count in the margin) and a 5 question comprehension quiz (answer key included).

I have been in education for more than 20 years. I have taught third grade ELA and Social Studies, fourth grade math, science, and ELA, combined multi-age grades 3-4-5 writing, preschool, and grades K-5 technology.

Teaching style
I believe in helping students think critically. My lessons are very detailed and encourage students to dig deeper. I believe that making mistakes helps you grow. I believe that reading makes better readers.
My own education history
I have a Bachelors of Arts with a double major in Social Sciences and Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction.
