Experience

I am an educator with 11 years of experience teaching in both general education and special education classrooms. I have worked with students from Pre-K through 5th grade and have supported children in a variety of educational and community settings since high school. I pride myself on building strong, trusting relationships with my students, allowing them to feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. I take a whole-child approach to teaching and intentionally design instruction to meet the individual needs of each learner. I currently teach Pre-K and was honored to be named Teacher of the Year last year. Every resource I create reflects my commitment to thoughtful supports, meaningful relationships, and inclusive learning environments.

Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in building meaningful relationships and creating learning environments where students feel safe, supported, and understood. I believe trust is the foundation for growth, and I intentionally prioritize connection so students feel confident to take risks and engage in learning. I approach instruction through a whole-child lens, recognizing that academic success is closely tied to social, emotional, and behavioral development. By observing each student individually, I design supports that are flexible, responsive, and developmentally appropriate. I value consistency, structure, and clear expectations while remaining adaptable to meet the diverse needs of my learners. My goal is to create practical, inclusive systems that support independence, confidence, and meaningful progress for every student.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I am honored to have been named Teacher of the Year (2024–2025) and to receive my building’s monthly recognition award, selected by peers for demonstrating strengths and making a positive impact. Beyond the classroom, I serve as Secretary of my teacher union, mentor new teachers, and contribute to my school’s social committee to foster morale and collaboration among staff. I am also a member of the Empowering Educators Committee, which works district-wide to support teachers, strengthen school culture, and respond to the evolving challenges of the profession.

My own education history

I hold a Master’s Degree in Special Education, which qualifies me to teach Special Education from Pre-K through 12 and General Education from Pre-K through 3. My undergraduate degree is in Speech Pathology and Audiology, giving me a strong foundation in language and communication development. After completing my undergrad, I chose to pursue a teaching path, earning certifications and a master’s degree to support students with diverse needs and help every learner reach their potential.

Additional biographical information

I am a proud mom of two little ones—my daughter Giovanna, who is almost 3, and my son, who just turned 9 months. I also have a special angel baby in heaven who would be 4 years old. Family is at the center of my life, and I am also a loving wife to an amazing and supportive husband, as well as a godmother to three wonderful children. Outside of teaching, I enjoy practicing self-care, exploring the beauty industry, and creating special memories with friends and family. I am passionate about work-life balance and make it a point to live and model this message for others, knowing how important it is for teachers and parents alike. My husband encouraged me to start this page because he sees how hard I work and how much I love supporting students and educators. I hope that the resources I create not only help teachers in the classroom but also allow them a little more time to enjoy life beyond the school day! :)
